One of the best
Guam tourist
attractions in Apra Harbor is the Asan Bay Overlook which provides
visitors with a view that the Japanese had as the American
soldiers hit the beach at Asan to take back
Guam. The
overlook is a regular stop for Japanese tour buses who come mainly
for the beautiful, scenic view Asan Bay Overlook has to offer. The
Asan Overlook is home to carved bronzed monuments dedicated to the
American soldiers and Chamorro civilians, and a World War II
memorial site. The names of the Chamorro men and women who faced
adversity during the war and during the
Japanese occupation
fill an entire wall. In addition, multi-lingual signs in Chamorro,
English, and Japanese have been placed to tell the story of the
battles that have been fought near the Asan Bay Overlook. From the
Asan Overlook, visitors and tourists will have a spectacular view
to remember during their stay in Guam.
