Chief Quipuha Park Guam

Chief Quipuha Park Guam
Chief Quipuha park located on the Paseo de Susana peninsula is a tribute to and remembrance of Chief Quipuha who was the highest ranking chief in the Hagatna area at the time the first Spanish settlers came to the island of Guam. When the Spanish settlers lead by the cleric Padre Diego Luis de San Vitores came to Guam, Chief Quipuha granted the Spanish cleric land on which to build Guam's first Catholic church. Prior to his death, Chief Quipuha had converted to Christianity and laid to rest on church grounds.

Chief Quipuha Park is a circular park located in the middle of the Paseo circle. Visitors will have to cross some heavy traffic that circles completely around the park if they want to enter into the park.
